Phil Parker - St Andrews, Frimley Green and Mytchett
Growing up in a church-going family, I heard and responded to the gospel thanks to faithful school teachers and church leaders. Attending summer children’s activity holidays helped establish, equip and give me my first taste of Christian service. This has led to full-time ordained Anglican ministry and many years engaged in youth work in schools, churches and activity holidays. I now lead a small, but slowly growing Anglican church in NW Surrey. Married to Isabel, with two children at university, I manage to climb, run, paddle, bike and ski when I can, although it’s at a slower pace and with longer rests! I was on the Crosslinks Council 2010-17, I govern two local schools – Aldro and Frimley CofE Junior School and am a trustee of the Titus Trust.
Mike Hitchings - Bethel Baptist Church, Farnham
I am Pastor at Bethel Baptist between Farnham and Aldershot. My first career was in Youth Justice. I trained in a Grace Baptist Church in Suffolk and with Union. I have been at Bethel since 2011. I am married to Kathryn, with three teenage children Eleanor, Connie and Reuben.
John Ross (Retired Pastor)
Born to Jewish parents, I turned to Jesus Christ as a teenager and started soaking up the word of God at a local Baptist church. I pastored Cranleigh Baptist Church in Surrey for 25 yrs. And then moved to Farnham Baptist Church. Daphne and I continue to live in Farnham, and worship at Bethel Baptist Church. I have been involved in the Surrey Gospel Partnership since it began, trying to encourage gospel churches to work together to make Christ known in this area. In "retirement" I have been helping smaller churches grow and develop, mentoring some younger pastors and getting alongside church leaders. Daphne and I enjoy travelling overseas to teach and encourage local churches in gospel ministry. My passion is to see gospel churches reaching their communities effectively with the gospel.
Richard Leadbeater - King’s Church, Guildford
‘Leady’ has been a follower of King Jesus since the age of 16, when a family member became a Christian and dragged him to church where he heard the gospel and got converted. Leady studied theology at university, and got ordained in the Church of England after a short career in professional football. He is now the Senior Pastor of King’s Church Guildford. Before moving to Guildford in July 2014 to help start King’s, he served as Assistant Minister at St Stephen’s in Birmingham. He is married to Libby and they have three children and he enjoys sport, family holidays and pretending to know how to make a good coffee!
Pete Hitchcock - Binscombe Church
Pete grew up in a Christian home and became a Christian in his teens. He went through Art College and studied Product Design before doing a PGCE in Design and Technology. He taught D&T in Secondary Schools in Central London and Surrey before training for Christian ministry with Hook Evangelical Church and attending the Cornhill Training Course. After five years at HEC working as Outreach Coordinator he moved to Binscombe Church in 2006 as Pastor. He is married to Jenny and has three children. Pete enjoys camping on the west coast of France, sport (normally from the sideline cheering on his kids) and relaxing with the family in the countryside.
